A Lovely Wedding
A Lovely Wedding
In past Kashmiri pandits and muslims lived with brotherhood and peace but later circumstances were such that both the religious communities became thirsty for each other's blood well today finding such a brotherhood in Kashmir is quite difficult but I have seen such a beautiful relation recently
Come and see where?
Last year it was my father's transfer from Srinagar to Jammu our whole family stayed there in our home for at least a month in the meantime there was wedding of our next door neigbour Gopi uncle's son Ayushman with our second next door neighbour Ali uncle's daughter Iqra
Was not it such a beautiful relation of kashmiri muslim family and pandit family?
Yes indeed it was
It was our 5th day there that we received invitation from both the families after 15 days we have to join the marriage ceremony
Now I was in a dilemma that should I go to Gopi uncle's side or Khalid uncle's both the sides were quite important to me You know what I decided did I spent half time in Gopi uncle's side and half in Khalid uncle's
Days passed and finally it was the day of wedding of Nikkah in Khalid uncle's side and Vivha in Gopi uncle's whether it is a muslim wedding in a pandits wedding Kashmiri cuisine is same that of trami and wazwan the only difference is of veg and non veg but believe me I enjoyed both the feasts equally
Iqra was dressed in a beautiful red lehnga with beautiful expensive gold jwellery like moon has descended on Earth. When Baraat came I saw Ayushman in an elegant sherwani for Nikkah ceromany Molvi Sahb asked the couple if they are willing for their Nikkah and of course both replied yes
Now time was for saat phere there while bride and groom took seven rounds of fire and marriage was all done Bride's mother wept and put a shawl on her daughter's face and the bride went with her all of the special guests also went with her singing and dancing
Finally we reached to the Gopi mansion where Ayushmans mother picked the shawl up and we were a treated very well with pastries and kehwa
We told bride a bye and Came back After some days our family also came back to Kashmir and still I miss such A lovely Wedding
