I shouldn’t

And can’t come up to the podium,

I don’t have a speech, 

I’m not prepared,

To tell you how much I’ll miss you & how much of a year you were to love,

In truth

You Weren't

Instead 

I’m here to say my goodbyes & tell you I’m sending my condolences, 

As I watch you go, 

I throw a rose,

You didn’t get one in your time alive,

You didn’t deserve it,

As I stand over your casket,

Reminiscent of all those bittersweet memories you brought with you,

As well as those raw tears, 

I bow my head in prayer, 

Wishing for a year of Success,

Health,

And more life to live, 

In 2023

A year of laughter hidden behind pain,

What a year you were, 

You brought me emotions, 

In more ways than one am I grateful, 

But I think it’s time to say goodbye, 

Time to let go

of all the time spent with you,

Farewell to the memories, 

Introducing more life,
