Will We Ever Know?

Will we ever know?

What shines over those mountains blue?

Who looks after those rivers new?

Who taught the bluebird to sing so well?

A song which could heal and mend,

Does anyone really know what’s in the valley’s end?

Who fills the sea with the water it has,

Wherefrom the light into the forest does it come?

The leaves all dry they make a sound when we do crumple some.

These waves they break on the shore,

Who tells them to come that way?

Why the moon does never mistakes the night as the day?

The lonely night’s music deep,

Why can’t the sleepless still not sleep?

These questions I quietly ask my heart and keep,

Not waiting for any answers though,

 Some answers are better not found,

Quietly withering and fading around.
