I move memories
To a different wall
Where the light is dim
And the colors will fade
Without staining my soul
I hang utility
Handy tools
To keep me busy
While I create new stuff
To displace the old
I nail Time
But it smiles back
Controls my existence
From its enclosure
Mocking my freedom
I stare at the clothes
On wire hangers
And remember how good
I looked in those
During my lifetime
