Our parents came together

Brought us into this world

Shed blood and sweat

To help us grow….

Every phase of our life

Like a shield, they stood

Rejoicing in happy times

Sharing our sorrows….

They fulfilled our every wish

Gave us all we need

Sacrificed all that they had

To see us happy….

Never were we left alone

Always spoke in a gentle tone

Holding our hands they walked along

To and back from school….

Along with us

They also grew

We took up our new roles

Away from them, we stood….

Got busy in our daily schedule

Towards them changed the attitude

Humiliated them however we could

Till finally, they were ready to move….

Parents as they are

Never act rude

What you did to them

Might come back to you….

Our parents need us

The way we needed them

Get back to their home

Not an old age home….
