Time to go Solo

Life is beautiful, filled with surprise,

Let's you soar higher yet cuts you down to size,

Every time you feel plagued by its atrocities in disguise,

Yet there's something so pure to it that it completely defies.

Life is full of epiphanies, it takes you on a ride,

Hits you hard in the face, it gives no place to hide,

You have to gather all your strength to hit it back hard, when the pain won't subside,

As nothing's gained when nothing's tried.

Life is unpredictable as we speak,

Looking bewildered to find what we seek,

A moment asking us to rise, a moment of being cold and bleak,

Like Troy's being humbled by Trojans' from the Greek.

Life is analogous to the wave's ebb and flow,

You fake smile some days and some nights, happiness you borrow,

Lullabies to nightmares whispering so low,

"You have hung behind others for far too long, it's time to go solo".
