Those Days

Those were the days,

That we lived and enjoyed.

The days when just before the vacations,

Teachers used to write holiday homework on writing boards.

We copied it slowly from our benches,

Waiting for the class to get over.

Today's online students

Know nothing about this fun.

Those were the days,

When electricity was cut for the entire night.

And we used to sleep on the terrace,

On the stairs and in cars.

The days when families used to sit together and talk for hours,

Instead of networking with others till situation sours.

The days when there was real love in family members,

Instead of plain formalities and jealousies prevailing these days.

Not depending on Google's angelic help and search,

When brains were used to complete the tasks.

Those were the days...
