The Wave Series: Water
The Wave Series: Water
I am a monster, shapeless like water
Stealing the identity of the longing hands
Striving to hold me within,
I can’t be contained, for long,
For I am free, to flow, to rest and absorb
Briefly held, only to break away from the confines
Sometimes gently spilling over, like thoughts
From the overfilling lachrymal sacs
But mostly crashing on the rocks that endure me
Seldom still, always alive
Searching for an idea imprisoned in a glass
Or a rhyme hidden in debris
Hoping to also find myself somewhere
Maybe hidden in water,
In thirst or in a parched weary soul
I am all of it, and much more as you shall see
As I dive into depths of my thoughts, and of the sea,
In The Wave Series
