The Vulnerabilities In Mid-Life
The Vulnerabilities In Mid-Life
In the vicious cycle of peer pressure,
The identity crisis went to a higher level,
Four friends meet every weekend,
With chips & movie clips,
Teen daughter's first relationship,
Nasty comments of a school-going son,
They discuss love, life and a lot,
Medicine to treat sleeplessness,
Tips to control anger,
Everything is part of their discussion,
The vulnerabilities in mid-life,
draws them together,
Are we good parents or not,
This question enters every meeting,
What they don't know is,
For many people,
There were no such friends,
Who listen with a focus on the person,
Not on the mobile phone,
And no one is an attention seeker in that group,
They are yet to realise,
Those vulnerabilities going to be strengths,
on the other side of the paper,
And friendship is eternal at any age.
