The Soil On My Hands

The soil on my hands,

Isn’t simply soil.

It is so much more.

 

The soil on my hands,

Is the sign of gratitude,

Towards mother earth.

 

The soil on my hands,

Marks the unity,

Within this community.

 

The soil on my hands,

Marks the memories,

I can’t experience anymore.

 

The soil on my hands,

Is a remembrance,

Of the harmony lost today.
