The miserable

Like a paddle of bicycle lifting the weight, 

the sound of wave trying to punish itself, 

the boat trying to cope up the ocean's anger, or the moon trying to reach the earth, 

The DuckTales we never watched together, the novels we missed to read to others, the cuddling we never shared, or the intimacy we always craved.

Look around what have we done to ourself, you took a swing and I ducked to survive the pain, 

you stormed out through the door and I followed you some more, 

you went into the storm, wanting to hurt me once more.

Lightning is at its peak, 

the silence of dark night raging to the creek, the empty road inviting to stand in the middle, and asking someone to take the revenge they seek.

look at us we are cursed,

Look at us how we messed, 

through the sickness and health, we do is what we said 

and signed up to turn each other into the monsters we scared.

look at us what have we done, 

in sickness and health as we continued to torture each other.

The ship has sailed and we are onshore, 

the moon is bright, spreading its light, 

it's beautiful we use to say 

but look at us we aren't sure anymore.
