No one can penetrate through your penance 

You taught us the art of meditation

Believing in you gives us liberation 

The power generated by your mantras

Protects us from any harmful tantras 

I am awestruck by your Nataraja pose

Am I being administered a spiritual dose?

My soul is purified by your divine aura,

Generated by your third eye camera 

Even poison cannot harm you

It adorns your neck to beautify you 

Your powerful trident can Peirce through negativities

And cement forever the significance of positivities 

Even holy Ganga flows from your matted hair

Shiva Shakti is indeed the best pair

The serpent coiled around your neck Reminds us to keep our ego in check

A sense of peace oozes when we visit your holy place

Your third eye glitters on your divine face

Your devotees wish to drench in your divine rain

That can wipe out all their pain

We are blessed to recite your name

Filling our breaths with your name is our aim

You are a personification of the Absolute

I want to garner all my energy and render you a salute

On the significant night of Mahashivaratri

We beseech you to unravel the world's mystery
