The Fall
The Fall
As the leaves fall
A barrenness I see
When all that was green
Seemed to fade and is gradually unseen.
It looks beautiful even though
It has had a fall
You can then see
The inner strength and beauty
Which the greens hide after all.
I love the golden hue all around
The hustling breeze cold yet profound
I love how it carries those that dry up
Far away
I love the crumbling sound of the
Dried leaves on your way.
Many leave in search for home
Before things turn cold
While some enjoy this
Each and every day.
The fall is there giving way
To something new
Clearing up, shedding everything
For a cool new beginning for you.
Some dread it
As they need to travel far and wide
Some prepare as they will need
To stay there inside.
A transition It is
As if it needs to say
Wait I am just autumn staying here for awhile
Helping you giving you time
to prepare for the cold
That is on its way.
