The Bhuma
The Bhuma
The impurities of the mind are
lust, anger, greed, delusion,
pride and egoism.
One should remove these
impurities through protracted and
constant selfless service, worship,
Japa, concentration on an
object and Pranayama.
Through careful, diligent, protracted
and intense practice of meditation,
one can ascend gradually the
spiritual steps or planes.
There should not be relaxation in
the effort until one attains the Bhuma,
the unconditioned Brahman.
Bhuma means fullness or abundance;
It is a synonym of Brahman.
The word, Bhuman, is derived from the
word, Bahu, meaning much or many.
The all pervading Lord, the Creator
is referred to as Bhuma here.
