She

She is like a breeze,

     Flitting through the sky,

Yet, her feathers the world does seize,

    She doesn’t realize,

       Wings, she needs not to fly.

She locks herself in this cage,

Scared she is to step out,

The many desires of the world, she fears cannot assuage,

She doesn’t realize

The world was never what her smile was about.

They tell her to shun her dreams away,

Chasing them would send her astray,

At home only, nowhere else should she stay,

Her moist eyes fail to pluck up the courage and ask

‘To command me, who on earth are you!’

She’s got a smile on her face,

Even whilst they’ve buried her deep in the sand,

Aware they are not, lord, how fierce she is,

Knives, a thousand,

To a drop of tear of hers equal is.

A fire she is,

Oh! How she burns,

Yet an ocean her heart filled up with is,

Where a storm always churns,

Quieted by the whooshes of the trees.

She is the creator,

How alluring is she,

Yet, she is the destroyer,

A volcano of rage and strength is she.

She, is a verse,

You cannot leave unread,

Yet, she is the poem,

You do not deserve to read.

As clear as crystals she is some,

Yet, she is the mystery never you can fathom…….
