She Healed Me

Walking down the streets with a broken heart

Bearing bruises from the past and a fear of the future

I was looking for a light

I was looking for an escape from the memories

The memories which seemed to be a nightmare now

She came running from the other side

Having cuts in her arms fresher and deeper than mine

The tears sparkled like stars of a fine night

Her hairs were a mess but added to her beauty

I stood still, my heart pounded harder than ever

My eyes were gazing a bruised beauty, an angel

An angel with broken wings and a tattooed arm

Tattoos craved by knives and blades by herself

Those tattoos looked just like a rough line but told a million stories

I was still standing in the middle of the road

I could see the marks clearer than ever

With a smile on her face, she held my hand

I was rock bottom, she was beneath that

My scars looked like small scratches after seeing hers

She healed me with her one touch

She took all my pain away, but she was still bleeding

She smiled looking at my eyes;

With her smile she fixed my broken heart

I was destined to bring her to the shore since then

I was destined to bring her to the light she deserved

And all I could do was to watch her heal others!
