Salvaging Truth
Salvaging Truth
Key to success is within
But the past, utterly dim
Always wishes to reign.
So I stood on the pavement
To have a clear eyeshot
Of what is called current.
It looks worthwhile
If one follows the rule
And bear fruits in time to come.
It was quintessential now, to begin
It means to peep out from olden
Which blurred, the awaiting beyond vision.
Promising is what we see beyond
But near impossible is the path
That leads from now to beyond with the past in hand.
How can I miss, for which I exist
But then to wipe out what is behind
Appears nowhere in my list.
Lingering in the past
And refusing to appreciate the present
Isn't promising, for what has not come, yet.
Decision has to be now
As to what do I hold, the past that is gone
Or that which awaits tomorrow.
Loading the past is Sisyphean
As it pulls back the beautiful present
And backslides the rising sun.
It is the quenching occasion
But now has come, the time
To step up and detach, from behind
And fly free, in horizon sublime.
