Republic day

India lived a life of slavery,

Dependence till the eighth century.

When Indian leaders became aware,

Cutting the shackles made India independent.

We are free from slavery

But there was no bond.

Whether we become gods or we become demons,

Our self-rhyme without turban.

To tie humans in bondage,

Democracy needs a turban-like bond.

Janmantra became the form of people's system,

Then India became a true republic.

By making rules one by one,

Many laws have been prepared.

Collecting one by one,

This is the holy constitution of the country.

The day the constitution came into force,

National republic on 26 Jan 1950.

Got complete freedom on the same day,

We became completely independent that very day.
