Reflection

I am not the same anymore

A little tall, not very small

But that's beside the point

I measure myself in the heights

I took to reach where I am.

A few streaks of bright colour

Just the shades that change

As I move in life.

I am not the same anymore

Some lines that force me to lose my glow

But that's beside the point,

I glow from within now

That I have learnt a lot many lessons in life.

A weak unclear sight,

But that's beside the point

Now I see much clearer

what is hidden deep inside.

I am not the same anymore

The cheer and fear disappeared

But that's beside the point

For now I can speak my way through.

I am not the same anymore

The candles lessened on the cake

But that's beside the point

I celebrate with only one

As now I stand out.
