July twenty it was,

Hot sunny weather it was,

I woke up with a red stain,

My white skirt turns all red,

Mama said its natural,

But I feel something really abnormal,

Wait my childhood is over,

Those jumping and chilling days are now over,

Now I become more concerned about my body,

Yes yes because it's a period of puberty,

An illness with no cure,

That cotton makes me happy for sure,

I am no more a girl,

I am a budding woman from now,

At fourteen life take plot twist and turns,

Even I am not prepared at all,

Spine and stomach ache to kill me,

God! Mercy on girls please,

From now shyness is my first priority,

Listen, now follow the rule chart of society,

Since my puberty hits me,

I am not at all the real me,

Do this no don't do this,

Touch this and stay away from this,

These five days seems like punishment,

But what punishment,

No, I did not attempt any crime,

All I want is that I want to shine,

I love the way nature makes my body,

There is beauty in every soul and everybody,

I don't want to follow what society said,

There is nothing interesting in their single word,

Sit properly laugh properly now you grow up,

Be in manners now you are grown up,

Ok so then give me liberty because I am a grownup,

Allow me to live the beauty of life because I am a grownup,

From this cave, I am far away from the beauty of the earth,

In this heaven, I am far away to see heaven on earth,

It's just a red stain,

Don't bind my hands because of this stain,

Life is flowing like a big blue sea,

In a boat, I am just sitting quietly.
