Rain Of Happiness
Rain Of Happiness
We would not have
crossed roads together
if it was not for
monsoon rains.
I took shelter under
the willow tree
Just to find you
wrapped under a cloth.
You were alone,
shivering, wet
tiny, pink
and cute baby.
Left by an
unfortunate mystery.
I waited there and
sought for help
But no one came.
As it was raining
I held you in my arms
And took you home.
I was twenty yet
I decided to be
your mummy.
My parents were proud
My brother was happy
To have found a niece.
It was the rain that
Turned a coincidence
Into a beautiful destiny.
If it was not for you
I would not have known
The strength that
humanity holds.
I was twenty-five
Rains were again at high
A man like an angel
As tall as the sky
Looked like a 'sun'
Saved you from
A misfortune.
This time you found him
And destinies were crossed
Becoming an eternal fate
From 'me' to 'we'
And 'we' to 'us'
We became three.
Every year
whenever it rains
I breathe in it and
A tear of happiness
Accompanies my eyes.
Sense of thankfulness
And completeness
Captures my soul.
And I call it
Rain of eternal
Happiness.
