The Horror
The Horror
On the request of my friends,
One day I played hide and seek.
I hid in my lonely storeroom
And felt something on my side.
The light was turned off
And I was all alone.
I was a little afraid
But, couldn't cry or moan.
It was very late,
So I came out.
I felt so irritated,
That I began to shout.
I called my friend many times
But did not hear any sound.
At last after sometime
I went to the building's round.
It was very late
And no one anywhere
I was alone in my house
And this is true I swear.
I went upstairs,
For the red telephone
I went to my room and
Saw something that shone
I went near that
And saw something on the mat
When I went nearer
I saw a big fat cat
It came to my room
I don't know why and how
I started then to shoo it out
It started doing meow - meow
I chased it throughout the house
And that was another round
I locked him with myself in
And heard another sound
I looked backward and said-
No one is here!
I looked forward
And the cat was not there!
I started to open the door
With sounds like knock knock
But couldn't open the door
For the oldest broken lock.
I was left inside that room.
My hopes were going low.
Then suddenly I saw there
My house's great window
That was the only way
To go out for a brave.
So I jumped out from the window
And landed near a cave.
Actually it was not a cave
But a house very old
There lived no one but a ghost
This is what I've been told
It was just like movies
I went there just before sunrise
I then opened the door
And saw not bats but, flies!
I started to laugh and said-
These are just some flies.
Then I saw through a window
A thing with very giant size.
I went to see the big fat tall
With each thing and all
With an old golden shawl
Nothing but an idol.
I heard a wolf crying
And saw a large graveyard
It was feeling strange
Though I went forward
I saw a man staring at me
With a big flat tray
With a red liquid in it
So I ran the other way
Wolfs were chasing me
Through the road with no people
I got exhausted by running so fast
And went inside a temple
The wolfs went away
And the lights also lit up
Everything was being normal
Including that horrible setup
The road was full of people
And a little pup
I was in a relief
And suddenly heard - wake up
I opened my eyes
And saw my pup's eyes gleam.
Then, at last, I realized
That it was just a dream.
Then my mother said-
Drink this juice of Neem!
