The orange of the twilight 

I see in Your eyes 

like smoldering fire 

to eradicate the evil 

prevailing 

Mahisasur the demon 

cowers beneath your feet 

I see the orange in the oranges offered as Prasad

Mother of the universe 

Content with our meagre offerings 

You who makes no distinction 

between colour, caste or creed 

Everyone is welcome to rejoice 

In the Dusshera festivities 

No one is checked out or 

asked of their religious leanings
