My First Love

Was it my favourite glass to drink water,

Or my kg teacher who taught me everyday,

The pride of getting a TV remote in the house,

Or the first purse I got on my fifth birthday,

The delight of unpacking birthday presents,

Or the charm of wearing new dress bought the previous day,

The moment we visited our grandparents,

Or a randomly declared school rainy day,

Was it the security of sitting in joy rides with my parents,

Or the enthusiasm of riding my own bicycle my own way,

Was it the excitement of self made maggi in hostel,

Or breaking the rules come what may.

Said unsaid I never realised what my true love was,

Until my one year old mumbled 'Mumma' yesterday!!!
