Mother Earth

 Dear mother earth, 

You have given us birth

We have come out of your womb

How can we see you in doom?

People are neglectful of you

They throw litter and paper skew

They cut trees and their junctions

To fulfill their mean intentions

The relationship we share with you

Is not of recent and new

You give us healing and nurture us

Our Bond is more ethereal thus

The cruelty people show to you

But still, your heart is like a diamond dew

You only know how to shower 

Mankind is only after control and power

You have opened our eyes after a pandemic

Because what goes, comes around as a mimic

We have realized your Value, O mother

We would like to change rather

With a small step we are ready to tread

To strengthen the bond indeed

Without you, we have no existence

The love you give us is far more consistent

Without the trees, there are no fruits

Now its time to go back to our roots

You are home to wanderers

You are a shelter to trespassers

You are carrying us with strength

We have always put you at length

But now we promise you

To not be on the list of those few

Who takes you for granted

A seed has now been planted

The flowers will come and bloom

As our bond will flourish as a plume

The love you give will not go in vain

We will now take all your pain

We will decorate and adore you

It's gonna be a glorious view

Let's create a cord of unconditional love
