Mirror Lock

Mirror Lock

Mirror lock, oh wondrous thing,

A tool of magic, a gateway to bring,

Visions of beauty, or horrors untold,

A place where illusions can take hold.

The princess spoke with urgency,

Her voice trembled with fear and uncertainty,

Her hands shaking, as she shared her plight,

Of how the mirror trapped her in its endless night.

She spoke of how her stepmother, the queen,

Was jealous of her beauty, so serene,

And how she cast a spell on the mirror one day,

To keep the princess captive, and away.

The servant listened, his heart ablaze,

With courage and determination, he vowed to raise,

The red shining stone, the key to her release,

And bring an end to this cursed masterpiece.

With every step, his heart beat fast,

As he searched for the stone, to break the glass,

He searched high and low, in every corner and nook,

But the stone was nowhere to be found, in every book.

Until one day, he came across a clue,

That led him to the fake king's shoe,

And as he searched, he found the heart of stone,

That could unlock the mirror's throne.

With blade in hand, he struck with force,

And freed the princess from her mirror's course,

But in doing so, his heart was won,

For in her eyes, he saw the rising sun.

And so they lived, in love and light,

Their futures bright, their path set right,

Thanks to the mirror lock, and the servant's might,

That saved the princess from her endless night.

The kingdom rejoiced, at the princess's return,

Their lost treasure, they had come to earn,

And the servant, he was hailed a hero,

For his bravery, and his love that did grow.

The mirror lock, now a thing of the past,

A reminder of how beauty can be a curse that lasts,

But the princess and the servant knew,

That with love and courage, anything is possible, anew.
