The sun shines

Through the cloudy seas

Like a hot ball of fire sailing,

Sailing in blue oceans.

A small innocent child comes running,

The sand slides under his feet

The child with eyes twinkling

Smiles brightly, his cheeks aglow.

As the little child came running eagerly

To wet his small feet in the blue seas

The waves washed his feet

And the little one stood there watching.

And the little child stood there

The waves receded leaving shells

Which he collected as tokens

And left him with a feeling of something lost

As the little child grew older

He still came to the shore

To enjoy the cool evening breeze

He remembered himself as a boy at the water's edge

The waves reminded him

Of his acquaintances who had gone by

Those who had comforted him

Memories are not to be forgotten

Sadly and slowly each wave left

He slowly sighed hoping to meet them again

There was no need to say goodbye

He would meet them on another shore.
