Lost In The Woods

Lost In The Woods

Escaping the woods, I'm running forward,

Unknown to the way I have to go.

What is this fragrance, Lavender or rose,

Maybe there is a garden, I should search for a home.

There is a fear in me that keeps me alert,

Should I keep my pace or hide to distract.

I hear the rustling fade away,

Either the feet or the air is trying to sway.

Sweaty drops drip from my forehead,

Rapid breathing describes my heart rate.

Alone I stand with all my might,

Opened eyes make it look infinite.

I feel a pain hit me at my back,

There is no knife only the sound lacks.

Every instinct tells my head will burst,

No, I don't find a single soul to trust.

The daylight is failing to compensate the fear,

The sight is blurred with gathered drops of tears.

Time on my watch is probably fake,

Circles are what I find the paths I take.

I feel my clothes become wet, maybe a lake,

Layers ripple around me, I am going deep.

Dark ecstasies stealing my conscience,

I'm trying to cling on to the memories so fine.

Like a mortal corpse I lay, no hints of struggle,

The bulge on the water surface seems like a gap.

Obscure images come in front of the eyes,

Strikes to me that I'm losing senses.

Maybe I want to rest, finally forfeited,

My fate seems to have turned to a scam weighted.

Like a coward, I ran away from my condition,

Now the last breath came out and my heart failed.
