Life In Vain

Failing health

Age catching up in stealth

Constant is the pain

No gain, life in vain

Looking yonder 

Is there anything I wonder!

Circling around like a dog 

Trying to scratch it's own tail

Can't break this circle, I fail.

I try to live trying to make it worthwhile

Write some joke, that makes me smile.

Mind is arid, try I did

Words don't come by, at my bid.

Wrestling with my own self

Expiry is not here, put me in the shelf

I lay exhausted, feeling wasted

Maybe I could rot and get composted.

I would become one with soil

Assist the farmers who day after day toil.
