Then to stay away from her in school
He learnt to enjoy with friends
Also experienced love anew
He learnt to be a husband
A father too
He learnt to be selfless
As his family grew
He learnt to set them free
To fly in a sky so blue
He learnt to be dependent on his wife
From a comb to shoe
He learnt when she died
What it means to lose
He learnt without eyes
He cannot have a view
He learnt he is still alive
And would have to get through
He learnt to breathe again
And to cherish less and few
