Keep It Simple

Your eagerness to please and satisfy 

Pleases me to eagerly see, and

Understand why you grieve so easily 

So I hope you can understand

Why I strive to just believe

The reason why you please these  

It excites me in so many ways

How enlightening it is for thee

How you can just keep it simple

In many ways, a simple life is never such 

So why do we perceive it to be as much

When love is not a simple thing at all

Can they ever be gentle as they glance

In our very simple stance with empathy 

you would think that this would be simple

But they only believe what it is they see

And see what it is they want to believe

Never leaving room for the simple truth

To make a point we are anything but

The simple truths that others think they see

So now I think I can simply understand 

Your eagerness to try and please, and 

Why you are content in your easygoing way 

And why do you always keep it simple with ease?
