Journey

Journey

1 min 327 1 min 327

On an eventful journey all alone

Met someone totally unknown.

He struck up a conversation to my utter distaste

And spoke and spoke and spoke

In absolute, hurried haste.

I tried my level best to keep pace

To reply and communicate

And to specifically understand and absorb

All that he said

But a meaningful conversation was hard to come by

He never gave me a chance to speak,

That's why.

He spoke his heart out

With words came out his blood and tears

Not visible to the eyes around

And people busy with themselves as usual.

I knew that he was a loner

And wanted someone to hear

Wanted someone to talk to

Someone that would understand

Without giving him advice, lend a helping hand

And a patient ear too, to dump all his woes

I felt somehow privileged

That he was sharing with me all this and more.

He told me all that he loves

And all his pains

His triumphs, his sorrows, all his little big gains.

He wrapped the five hours

In a bittersweet story

While I lent a patient ear to all his happiness and worries

It wasn't much of a job for me, to be true

But he was at peace with his world,

After that discourse.......

I knew.
