I Set You Free

I Set You Free

1 min 342 1 min 342

I set you free, little one

Won't hold on to you, anymore

The sky above is dark and grim, I know

And you're my tiny flicker of hope.

I won't hold on to you any longer, little one

Need you to find your space

I won't cling to you any longer

Need you to fly high with grace.

You're my saviour, little one

But saviours yearn too, for their own space

So go fly away, little one

Build your own nest and a resting place.

Build it with feathers of hope

Twigs of commitment and love

Peace and prosperity there in abundance

And all that your heart desires.

I wish the world for you, little one

Go, find your own abode

I set you free, little one

Won't depend upon you, anymore.
