Hope

It had been quite a long time.    

 People all through the town      

Wore masks covered their frown.  

The frown has been there way back in the spring

When the pandemic changed everything.   

 It was named Corona

But unlike the beer it didn't bring any cheer.  

 Airplanes grounded travel banned borders closed everything halted. 

 World entered lockdown to flatten the curve and behold all folks lost their nerve          .          . 

From March to July the first wave.

 People stayed home they really tried to behave.          .....    

 Summer arrived and lockdown lifted people put caution away and gradually drifted

 Now in December cases seem spiking wave two arrived much to our disliking.                   

 It is true this year has sadness a plenty people will never forget the year 2020                    

  The holiday season is round the corner asking why merry is there even one reason            

    The snow gently falls so folks let's deck the halls gather the ribbon the garland and bows

See that your happiness grows.         ... 

 Nothing seems cancelled neither merry nor hope

If we lean on each other we know we can overcome and cope

So let us hope and hope    .  ,
