Hope
Hope
Outside,
A bright sky, chattering birds and blossoming flowers.
Inside,
Your content mind and happy heart,
Celebrating the goals you accomplished.
But, the sooner you reach the peak,
The sooner you must endure the trough.
Life, is but a child’s dream.
Outside,
Darkness will arrive and reign the sky,
The birds will fly away,
And the petals will soon become shy.
Inside,
You must not change.
Work hard as they say,
be strong as they say.
But, most importantly,
Keep your hopes alive; a wonderful emotion that we live on.
We hope for something to occur–it may or may not.
If it does, we hope for the change to
stay as long as it can.
If it does not, we hope again,
For the sun to come through and,
For peace to swamp our minds and hearts.
