With some shadows of worry,

And sacks full of nostalgia,

I could see you hankering around for smile,

Hey life, were you there in this while?

There was something I thought you missed,

Or may be you must have lost,

I saw you vexed and anxious,

Hey life, have I really been rude and thankless?

You gave me all sorts of cheers and fun,

Blessed me with all that I desired,

But I feel you a little angry or upset,

Hey life, is there anything making you distressed?

Even on the days I found myself helpless,

And worthy of nothing,

You injected in me something so vibrant,

Hey life, why do you seem so low and silent?

When even the church bells and evening prayers,

Couldn’t help me keeping faith over you,

Yet some sparks of hope you threw,

Hey life, why are you fading in blue?

I could see you searching something in me,

As if scratching my soul and screaming,

Or may be few questions you wanted to raise,

For the days I didn’t admire, but must have chased.

Hey, are you even there life?

Within me, are you still alive?
