Grief Beyond Tears

I look up at the dark sky

Now a reflection of my misery

My feeling's a foe

Not getting into grasp, like the wind

My mind revolving past the dreams

That once seemed so true

But now for me, it's just like the moon

Seeming to be near reach, though there's nothing I can do

I tried to get my mind to myself

I knew I was fighting an ever lost battle

Betrayal had ripped my soul

Into a million pieces of belittle

I looked at myself

Now nothing but an empty shell of insults

With grief beyond tears, I looked up at the sky

In search of the stars of my life that are still to come by
