Greedy Man
Greedy Man
He grabbed the gold with gross ghoulish greed,
People were watching, but he took no heed.
His gluttony simply knew no checks or bounds
Unabashedly, in eating, he stood his ground.
His greed grew like an ugly cancerous growth
Annihilating him and burning up all his worth
He didn’t know that he was heading for doom,
A disastrous future for him within days did loom.
The policeman came with a chain and handcuff
The doctor opined his sickness was truly tough
He sobbed and he wept, he religiously swore
He would not be greedy in his life evermore.
