Freedom
Freedom
As I wage a war of one,
My armaments can't fail me now,
My heart whispers to my shrewd mind
And I offer her vermilion,
But society objects,
I offer her bangles,
But taboo proscribes,
I offer her sacred thread,
But blue blood threatens
For honour killing.
Can't a widow remarry,
Can't she choose her new life
With a new partner, I raise question?
I can't allow evil eye to fall on her,
I can't allow her to live insipid life,
I can't allow her to drop tears silently,
I love her, I want to own her.
Yes, Oh! The blind society,
Stop me if you can,
I am going to write my epic of love.
I am going to stand as her saviour,
I am going to stand as her partner,
Nobody can sabotage her freedom,
Nobody can demolish her happiness.
