Flight Of Liberty

They flutter away and I just gaze at them

You put in so much effort 

To just travel far away,

But you are free

You are wild

Look beautiful in the clear blue sky.

I always tried to fly away

From the humdrum of my life 

But I was tied with attachments

That never let me loose

Even if I did try.

You learn to live 

The way you want

You learn to fly on your own terms

You build a nest just to rest for a while

Leaving it and creating a new home

Wherever you did fly.

I make a home and stay in fear

For I never want to lose anything, my dear

But you stay away as long as you can

Flying from one or the other distant land.

Hey little creatures teach me to be

Free and wild just as you seem to be.
