We wait for it every year

To enjoy like never before

The preparation phase seems

Very exciting to us as

We indulge in it whole-heartedly

Ribbons, balloons, glitters

Colors, glue and bouquet of flowers

With which we decorate happily

Is it the holiday we yearn for

During the festivals or 

The array of delicacies cooked

At home from years of expertise

Mingled with love and care?

I look forward to family reunions

During the festive season

Flying to home across seven oceans 

Wouldn't have been possible!
