EMOTIONS ON AIR
EMOTIONS ON AIR
In a world that's wired and connected,
Love and hate are hyperbolized.
For every joy and pain we feel,
We turn to social media to reveal.
Our thoughts and feelings we now broadcast,
In tweets, posts, and stories that last,
We seek validation and support,
From friends and strangers we've never met.
We share our lives without a care,
In hopes that someone out there will care,
But in this sea of likes and hearts,
Do we really know who play their parts?
We've blurred the line between real and virtual,
And let our emotions become commercial.
Every tear we shed and every smile we spread
Is public to the world to see and decide.
Emotions are meant to be felt,
Not just to amass likes and comments.
Love and hate are emotions, complex,
That need more than likes and shares.
Lets show our love and hatred
In the moments that matter most,
They need time and care and nurturing,
To bloom and thrive and to heal.
