I light the candle 

And I light the lamp, 

But the inner darkness 

That I have inside 

Is never intimidated.

Knowing that my inside 

Ravaan is safe, 

I pretend to solicit Lord Ram 

To come and vanquish.

Lord Ram smiles in the heaven 

At my madness, 

Threatening Raavan to assassinate.

Unfolding the truth that 

Bhivisan is staunch 

And will not disclose the secret, 

Raavan challenges the Lord.

The Lord smiles at me 

And whispers

'Oh! The innocent boy, 

Wait for that Diwali, 

When Bhivisan will realize the truth 

And leave Raavan's nearness, 

I will come and defeat Raavan 

To guide you towards 

The main road of righteousness.'
