Government of the people, by the people, for the people is democracy

And yet with all the hallow promises, prevalent is the hypocrisy

Leaders are kept in check, and the ‘free’ are the rulers

Yet the entire dynamics can change from a baseless rumour

Evolution of democracy isn’t possible without hearing the other side

But to put forth their opinions minority strives…

Democracy is not a state where people act like sheep

When there is a change of hearts, the spirit of democracy takes a leap

A true democracy would exist when every person would have the liberty to think

While the ignorance of one-one voter can change everything in a blink.

Question freedom and you will be imprisoned

The irony of democracy is when we expect the elected politicians to not behave like politicians...
