Buddha...The Powerful Saint

Buddha is a powerful saint

His vast knowledge can make you faint!

He transformed Angulimala, dacoit and thief,

And handled him as easily as he would a leaf!

He preached Dharma to people

Under a tree - not Sal or Maple

It was a Bodhi tree, sturdy and strong

With its trunk twice as long.

He awakened the world, enlightened us

And taught us to accept life, not make a fuss.

He walked alone on his path

From dawn to the dark, dark 'raat'.

Let us remember this POWERFUL SAINT 

His thoughts through his words did he PAINT
