Back Bench Student

Based on height,

Sitting in the last row,

Smelling chalk pieces by dipping them in the water,

Sharing the tiffin box,

Sharpening the pencils,

drawing too much on slates,

Hiding the eatables in bags,

Cleaning the playground,

Complaints on stealing erasers,

Uniforms with stains of colour sketches,

Shivering when the teacher asks questions,

Waiting for the holidays,

Again waiting for school to reopen,

Every school memory looks fresh,

As every day is new.
