Autumn Hues
Autumn Hues
The damp gloomy monsoonal air
Doesn't linger here anymore;
My feet, so numb, now longed for a walk,
As a red autumn leaf flew onto the floor.
When the playful monsoon winds summoned me outside,
Leave aside walk, I couldn’t even move my legs!
Captured on my bed, since long, as a patient,
Hopelessness had grown to excess...
The arrival of the autumnal equinox,
Brought with it, a divine healing touch;
Autumn breezed in, with thick foliage on the trees:
Yellow, pink, red - all set to give you the chill of your first crush!
The poet in me tried to evoke a few words of praise,
To paint this picture with poetic grace, but,
Like a child, I kept drowning in the hues of autumn,
That absorbed all my worries, leaving behind no trace.
