A Woman :Truly Remarkable
A Woman :Truly Remarkable
There was a time I gazed at life
From a dark corner
Thoughts grim, acts hasty
Hours dull filled with thoughts
Restless, brilliant yet barren
No good seems to come about
It was that season I met
A lady firm, fair and kind
She had a rosy life I thought
To find it's trodden with
More thorns than my own
A colossal, I thought she was
No bitterness could ever overcome
Her sweetness or shroud her joy
Life's storms could only
Shake her a bit, she made it through
Emerged stronger than she was
Brooding me, would look up to her
"Life has no meaning, just live it"
I heard her say often
As water drips down
Through many a layers of earth
Her words slowly but did sank deep
Into my heart and soul
Years passed before I felt
A truth and the wisdom
Of such words as hers'
The change she catalysed
Came to pass, I became someone
Better from worse
Not even a slightest hesitation or doubt
Is to arise in my mind, to keep me
From calling her 'a lady' remarkable
Truly nothing less, perhaps more
A fine blend of courage and compassion
Strikes the mind when paths are crossed
A mother bold and loving
Corrects with a soft but a firm grip
Her love to her child, is the purest you can find
Under the heavens, may be even above
A teacher to many and a friend to me
One I value and admire above all
