A Tree's Sorrow
A Tree's Sorrow
I am just a tree,
I wish, like humans, I was free.
As a mother, I gave them shelter,
And protected them as a father.
I gave them my sweet fruits,
And gave them healthy vegetables from my roots...
But what do you want more from me, O human,
I brought rains for you and gave you oxygen.
Still, you cut me,
But my dreams were just to be free.
God hasn't given me the power to express,
My sorrow and my stress.
But God has given me a heart, that's true,
Which yearns for being in a forest or near the river so blue.
What have I done wrong to you, O human,
Please leave me at once and I'll be in heaven...
