A Dog's Life
A Dog's Life
I sleep on a bed,
Get timely food
And a scrub on body,
A beautiful shelter,
And a caring trainer
Who treats me like a buddy.
I play with balls,
Toys and frisbees
Go to competition
Get laurels for the owner,
Grooming at a parlour
And a lot of attention.
I live like a king,
Mess around the house
That’s always in order.
My exotic breed,
Is a symbol of status and power
May or may not be a pet lover.
How about your fate?
You starve and cry
No medicine when ill.
No proper playmate,
Rain bath is a blessing.
It’s no life- neither survival in will.
You accommodate,
With homeless humans,
Yourself in the night.
Under the bridge,
To get a little place
All of you fight.
Sometimes I wonder,
God is so kind
But, why not to all?
My life’s better,
Than many humans
Struggle for survival.
I feel pity for you,
Be a breed dog
In your next birth
More fortunate
Than being poor
On earth.
